William F. “Freddy” Welker, Jr.

William F. “Freddy” Welker, Jr., 72, of Anderson went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2024 at Edgewater Woods which has been his home for the past 20 years.

He was born on December 8, 1951 in Anderson to the late William F. “Fred” Welker Sr. and Mary Etta (Nash) Welker. Freddy loved his family and always had a big smile on his face. He loved his coffee, Bible stories, and Looney Tunes.

He is survived by his two sisters, Judy DeHority and Connie Garrett; his nieces, Kimetta (Chuck) Spall, Cheryl VanWagner, Connie (Tom) Bryant, Jaylynne (Brian) Kemberly, and Sherry (Mark) Pelko; his nephews, Troy (Lynda) Garrett, Patrick (Sarah) Garrett and William (Marlyne) Wolfe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rosemary Wolfe.

A special thanks to Edgewater Woods, the former director Liz Anderson, Brighton Hospice and Pastor Ed for all of their loving support and care to Freddy over the years.

A graveside service will be at 2:00pm on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ed Ensley officiating.
