Our goal is to maintain a beautiful cemetery for you and your loved ones. Information on decorations is available in the office including info on our annual flower programs.

Our Park Decoration Guidelines

The following are the decoration guidelines at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Needs. Contact us for more information. 


Cemetery Clearing of Decorations - Important Dates


  • March 1-Total Clearing. Please be advised that this includes all decorations — inside or outside vases — to allow our grounds men to prepare for the change of the season.
  • One week after Memorial Day
  • Three days after Labor Day
  • Three days after Thanksgiving-Fall Decorations Only.

 

May 1 to Nov. 15

Mowing, Weed Control and Fertilizing Season
The mowing of the grass governs the placement of decorations. Items placed outside the approved vase unit will be removed, if needed, to allow for the mowing and maintenance of the grass.

Nov. 15 to March 1

Dormant Grass Season
All decorations, winter wreaths and grave blankets are allowed.

Special Holiday Decorations

Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day and Halloween — Decorations may be placed three days prior to and remain three days following the holidays above.


Memorial Day decorations are allowed a week before and a week after the holiday.


Following that time, maintenance employees will clear any decorations outside of the vase units.

Special Occasions 

Please stop by the office so we may issue a work order to allow decorations for your loved one's special occasion (i.e. birthdays, anniversaries).
